At least 16 people died and over 30 wounded in an explosion Thursday at a playhouse in the city of Karachi in southern Pakistan, announced sources police and government.
The explosion was called Rummy Club, the largest playhouse in the city, said a senior government official, Sharfudin Memon.
"It was a homemade bomb hidden in a package and placed inside the club," he added.
The local police chief, Iqbal Mehmood, said in turn that they were "investigating whether it was an act of terrorism or an internal matter between rivals."
"It could be related to a gang war, common among criminal gangs in Karachi," the police chief.
